Selling or Trading Tires
So you have your eye on that shiny new set of tires and rims but your current tires still have half tread left? Believe it or not, this is a common occurrence and some tire shops are even willing to take your old tires and/or wheels as a trade. Don't expect to receive the pro-rated value of your tires but sometimes your local tire shop will surprise you.
What happens if you buy your tires online though? There are many options available to help you recoup some of the cost of your new tires. The local newspaper classifieds is a great place to list your used tires and rims. An even better option, however, is to list them on eBay . You are almost guaranteed to get a higher sale price for your used tires and rims on e-Bay than you are locally. This is because when you list on eBay, your tires are seen by shoppers nationwide.
Shipping tires is easy, too! No box is needed, just tape the shipping label securely to each tire and take them to your local UPS or Fedex shipping center. It's that easy!
